Imposing one's own will on others will bring them pain; relying on others for one's own happiness will bring oneself pain. These are the two major taboos in interpersonal relationships.
Traditional Chinese culture mainly revolves around interpersonal relationships, but unfortunately, its concepts and principles violate these two taboos. For example, obeying the commands of parents, continuing the family line, and so on. Some argue that the starting point and focus of traditional Chinese ethical culture is to maintain the rule of the ruling class, rather than human nature and science. In reality, it has brought more conflicts and pain to interpersonal relationships. These conflicts and pain are suppressed and silenced (some are even beautified), and harmony and order are only superficial phenomena. If it weren't for the teachings of those few saints that distorted people's thoughts and behaviors, everything would operate according to the laws of nature (human nature). For example, the Western world does not have an ethical culture like ours, and their interpersonal relationships are not worse off than ours.
